Dwalyn Jackson, trumpeter, producer, born in New Iberia, Louisiana is married to Alfreda T. Jackson and has three beautiful daughters. Jazz became a part of his life early during high school days playing in the school Jazz band. In the early days of his career he was known as the High note man playing the tags at the end of all the big band charts. After completing high school he continued his studies at the University of Southwestern Louisiana to pursue a degree in music education. At U.S.L. he studied and played classical music as his main focus but still participating in the University's Top Jazz band starting off at the bottom and gradually working his way up to Lead. He studied Jazz under Dr. Bob Lucky with classical being his main focus. After obtaining a degree in music education program at U.S.L., Jackson began teaching music education and taught music for 14 years. Dwalyn started recording in 1992 as a way to enhance his interest in digital technology and his enthusiasm for music across all spectrum's and styles. Artists appreciate having a fellow musician at the controls that understands the scope of the project. Dwalyn also records MIDI sequences for a wide range of genres that much more closely mimic live musicians. He can be heard playing around Louisiana with the Jazz bands “Boundless Horizon,” Lafayette Jazz Authority,” "2NL," as well as “The Bunk Johnson Brazz Band.”
Dwalyn was introduced to Mr. Selwyn Cooper through one of his good friends Arnold Green. Upon introduction Selwyn invited Dwalyn to hear him at a jam Session in St. Martinville, Louisiana. His initial impression was that Selwyn was one of the most proficient guitarists he had heard in a while. Eventually Dwalyn indicated to Mr. Green that he would love to work with Selwyn on a project. Fortunately Dwalyn’s dream came true when Mr. Cooper planned a new CD and asked Dwalyn to work on his project. My first question to Mr. Cooper was what type of project do you want to produce? His response to me was a combination of blues and jazz. That is when the fun began.

music was noticeable. Jamal studied Tuba
